You probably have a first aid kit in your home and workplace. That said, you should include a first aid kit in your fishing tackle. Although fishing-related injuries are rare they do happen from time to time. A first aid kit will be a welcomed addition on the occasions an injury occurs. It is better to be safe than sorry as the saying goes. You likely have many of the items already. The few you need to add will only cost a few dollars. Copy the list for personal use.

Band-Aids various sizes
Triple Antibiotic cream single-use packets
Peroxide, cleaning a wound immediately prevents infection.
Ace Bandage, for sprains and hold on gauze pads.
Solarcaine for sunburn and bug bites
Tweezers, to pull out stingers or splinters.
Alcohol wipes, to clean and disinfect the wound.
Gauze pads assorted sizes, band-aids may not be big enough for some wounds.
3-inch gauze roll
Tape, a couple of sizes for various wounds.
Scissors
Tylenol or Aspirin in packets or small bottles is best
Instant Cold Pack
Wire Cutters, to cut hooks as a hook may get stuck in you accidentally
First Aid Booklet, knowing what to do for each situation is important.
An emergency supply of prescribed medications, a couple of days worth
Emergency Numbers for family members with medical authority, etc.
These items will cover basic first aid needs. The medications need to be checked for expiration dates on a regular basis. This can be carried in a vehicle or boat using a small Plano box. You being unprepared could cut a fishing trip short. A few simple measures may avoid abandoning the trip.
